2018 Recipients

Congratulations to Kaira and Jonathan, the 2018 winners of the Kayak Kids’ Illustrated History Challenge. This year’s stories are both graphic novel-style comics featuring exciting moments from Canada’s past.

In this story, Kaira recounts the day in 1848 when Niagara Falls froze over and “ran dry.”

Jonathan Chassé, Gaspé, Quebec
L’énigmatique étranger
Jonathan shares the story of a German spy who attempted to infiltrate Canada, but was caught almost immediately in New Carlisle, Quebec.
